2023 CrossFit Games Event 11 “Parallel-Bar Pull” Results
The penultimate event of Individual competition at the 2023 CrossFit Games in Madison, WI, featured Jeffrey Adler of Canada wearing the leader’s jersey for the first time in his Games career. He held the slimmest of leads over Roman Khrennikov on the overall leaderboard.
However, Khrennikov landed awkwardly during Event 10. It was reported by the commentary team that he may have suffered a significant foot injury. He limped into the Coliseum for Event 11.
Emma Lawson, also of Canada, conceded half of her lead to Laura Horvath in Event 10, “Muscle-Up Logs,” but remained in the red and white leader’s jersey. Below are the results for Event 11:

Parallel-Bar Pull Recap
Heat one featured the two-time Fittest Man on Earth® Justin Medeiros. He was no longer in contention to three-peat but was still aiming to finish within the top 10. He traded the early lead with Ohlsen and Upenieks.
Moorad was the most proficient through the early double-unders to set the lead pace by the sled pulls. Panchik and Kwant used their strength to bounce into the lead alongside Moorad.
Panchik was a half-rep ahead of Moorad by the third round. Lazar Đukić commanded the lead transitioning the rope to the second sled on the other side of the competition floor. He only continued to further his lead and finished first in the heat, just over half past eight minutes.

Khrennikov’s injury was apparent as he had to perform the double-unders on a single leg. However, that meant that he would have to effectively concede the title of Fittest Man on Earth® to Jeffrey Adler.
Fikowski set the pace through the first round alongside Koski and Gudmundsson. Khrennikov was the last athlete through his first set of double-unders and performed the sled pulls with a single-leg as well. He would surely take last in the event due to his injury.
Fikowski was the first athlete to the parallel bars at the start of round seven. Gudmundsson wasn’t too far behind. Vellner charged back to assume third place by the start of round eight.
The time to beat was shattered by Fikowski, who won the heat and the event in under eight minutes. Vellner racked up second place in the event, finishing four seconds after Fikowski.
