What Is Alan Ritchson’s Workout Routine & Plan?
Reacher Season 2 brings back Alan Ritchson as the titular character. But this time around, he is even bigger and bulkier than he was in Season 1. So, fans wish to find out about his workout routine. Here’s the fitness regimen he adopted to get even bigger for his role.
What is Alan Ritchson’s Reacher workout routine?
Alan Ritchson follows a 5-day hardcore workout routine focusing on his chest, triceps, back, arms, shoulders, and legs.
Back in 2022, he shared a glimpse of his workout routine with Men’s Health, showcasing a biceps and triceps workout. He starts with a Triceps Pressdown of about 15-25 reps and quickly switches to an Overhead Extension of 15-25 reps. The third part of this superset is Hammer Curl, which also goes for 15-25 reps. All 3 of these exercises are to be repeated for 4 sets.
Following that, he picks up the dumbbells to do 25 reps of Hammer Press and switches to Skullcrushers for another 15-25 reps. Repeating 4 sets of these two exercises, he takes on 21 EZ Bar Curls (7 from bottom to middle curl, 7 from middle to top, and 7 full range). Then he takes up EZ Bar Overhead Extensions for 15-25 reps and does 4 sets of both these exercises.
They are followed by dips and running to end a day of Ritchson’s workout routine. The actor also told Men’s Health about the following workout routine he has followed for 20 years:
- Pull-ups x5
- Dips x10
- Press-ups x15
- Sit-ups x20
- 200m sprint
This and a heavyweight routine for 8 months at his home gym allowed Ritchson to reach his peak Jack Reacher physique.
How tall is Alan Ritchson?
Alan Ritchson is 6’3 (1.91m) and bulked up to about 235-240 pounds for Reacher Season 2.
The actor confirmed that he was 205 pounds before Season 1 and gained about 30 pounds after that. His initial training regimen was extremely hard and almost left him with no Testosterone. After Reacher Season 1, he switched to Testosterone for health purposes and became even bigger for Fast X and Reacher Season 2. Along with that, a regular diet plan for him goes without saying.
