Doctors Hospital RN honored for helping to enhance patient surgery across nation

Doctors Hospital of Manteca Matthew Syljuberget, RN for Surgical Services, has been honored as a Tenet Hero.

Tenet Heroes exemplify Tenet’s values, embody the power of hope for both patients and colleagues, and celebrates those that are committed to delivering quality, compassionate care in the communities served by Tenet care centers.

Moreover, each year, only a select few are chosen to be honored as part of the Tenet Heroes’ Hall of Fame, the Company’s most prestigious honor for employees.

This year, 25 individuals or teams were named to the Hall of Fame, including Matt. For context of how elite this honor is, Tenet has 52 Hospitals and over 600 Care Centers nationwide. Nominated by leadership and/or fellow team members, Tenet Heroes are well-respected and admired by their colleagues and peers.

Syljuberget’s nomination said that “Matt is not only a Tenet Hero, but a hero to so many patients across the nation,” because of his action regarding a patient safety issue resulted in changes in hospital processes nationwide. I
