Psilocybin mushrooms, cannabis seized during Troy traffic stop, police say
TROY, N.Y. (WRGB) — A Troy man is now facing drug charges after a traffic stop.
State Police stopped Jaheim Garland on High Street in Troy early Friday morning.
During the stop, police say they found a large amount of psilocybin mushrooms in plain view. Police also say Garland had packaged cannabis, a scale, and a large amount of cash.
Garland was arrested on scene. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of cannabis, and a vehicle and traffic law violation. He was arraigned in Schaghticoke Town Court and sent to Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
