Boston man accused of assaulting female doctor in Chelsea held on high bail

A 58-year-old man is being held on $50,000 bail in connection with an incident where prosecutors say he assaulted a female doctor during a medical exam in Chelsea.

Christopher Fisher, of Boston, faces charges of indecent exposure, open and gross lewdness, assault, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 and possession of a class E substance. Fisher is a level 3 sex offender with a 19-page probation record, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s office said in a statement.

He will return to court on Oct. 31 for a pre-trial hearing.
