China COVID crisis requires fast, comprehensive response

At the Central Economic Work Conference last week, China’s leaders settled on the country’s economic policies for 2023. They also suggested relaxing the zero-COVID policy even further.

However, infections have spread far faster than expected and much of the public cannot even get medicine to treat fevers. Leaders need to implement comprehensive measures to address the crisis.
