A Chinese couple’s unique umbrella shield has caught the attention of the internet.

By Srimoyee Chowdhury: China has reported an increase in Covid-19 cases leading to reintroduction of mandatory masks and other necessary public protocols. India, on Sunday, recorded 196 fresh cases of Coronavirus as the recovery rate stood at 98.8 per cent. People have come up with different ways to protect themselves from the deadly virus and one video from China featuring a couple has gone viral.

The odd-looking yet useful apparatus has an umbrella-like handle but is complete with a huge plastic sheet that encircles two people inside. They can be seen outside in a market with a unique umbrella and shopping for groceries.

The video has been viewed over 83k views and tons of reactions. People were quite impressed with the creation. Many also pointed out that the apparatus will also save the person from rain as well. However, some pointed out that the special umbrella won’t be of much use in crowded places like local trains and buses.

The Indian government has made the RT-PCR test mandatory for international passengers arriving from China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong as the spike in Covid cases in China has sparked global concerns.
