The Rock Shares His Epic Upper Body “Volume & Blood” Workout

The Rock does epic upper body workout to build his chest and back.

Famed actor and professional wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently shared an epic upper body workout routine. Looking to take his chest and back gains to a whole new level, The Rock focuses this latest training on high volume in order to produce an incredible pump.

Perhaps every man’s favorite body parts to train, besides the arms, are the chest and back. The silhouette of having lats like wings and a chiseled barrel chest is one of the most enticing for men looking to cut an impressive figure. Whether you’re a mass monster looking to bulk up or a lean athlete seeking quality muscle on your frame, every man wishes to carve out an impressive chest and back. The Rock is no different in that regard.

A massive fan of professional bodybuilding, The Rock has always admired the athletes who step on stage. At one point The Rock had even endeavored to create his own bodybuilding event to rival that of big shows like the Olympia and the Arnold Classic. But beside his professional endeavors with bodybuilding The Rock has always been passionate about his own fitness. The actor and professional wrestler is constantly aiming to improve his physique and become his best version of himself.

Even at the age of 50 going on 51, The Rock is still motivated as ever to push himself to new levels of physical excellence. Never one to be content with his current level, the popular actor is always focused on improving. That means his goal is a never ending one. With no set finishing line in sight he remains ever motivated to simply be the best version of himself at any given time.

Volume and Blood Training

Recently The Rock shared his Saturday training schedule and it’s a doozy. When he’s not thrashing his lower body, The Rock is working on packing on muscle to his upper half. Looking to work on his chest and back, the actor and athlete decided to fill the workout with nothing but supersets. Rather than focusing on big lifts, The Rock was content to work on volume above all else.

“Saturday training: chest back super pump

*all supersets the entire workout

4 sets per station – 2 exercises per station

20 reps per exercise

5 second hold/stretch on the 20th rep

4 stations / 8 exercises total

60-75 seconds rest periods

I keep the weight moderate, not heavy.

Volume & blood.

Have a productive weekend and get after it.

The Rock has become a fitness and bodybuilding icon for a reason and this kind of training shows exactly why.
