UVM Health Network COO Al Gobeille stepping down from role

The network is expected to launch a national search for Gobeille’s replacement

Al Gobeille, the chief operations officer for the University of Vermont Health Network, will step down from his role next month.Health Network CEO Sunny Eappen said Gobeille was instrumental in helping him to transition into his new leadership role.A UVM Health release cites Gobeille as being instrumental in leading the network through the COVID-19 pandemic as well as a cyberattack that also occurred in 2020, as well as more recent projects like helping to develop employee housing.“When I was chosen as the successor to Dr. Brumsted, Al graciously offered to stay on for the transition,” Eappen said in a statement. “We both feel that the transition is well underway and this is the right time for Al to move on to pursue his other business interests.” The network is expected to launch a national search for Gobeille’s replacement.
