WEIGHT LOSS DRUGS HAVE HELPED USERS LOSE POUNDS AND GET HEALTHIER. BUT THEY’RE EXPENSIVE. AND IN SOME CASES, IN SHORT SUPPLY. WATCHDOG GROUPS SUCH AS THE PARTNERSHIP FOR SAFE MEDICINES ARE SOUNDING THE ALARM ABOUT COUNTERFEIT DRUGS BOUGHT AND SOLD ONLINE. WE’RE SEEING PERFECT LOOKALIKE COUNTERFEITS AND THEY HAVE VERY SERIOUS HEALTH CONSEQUENCES IF YOU BUY THOSE AND THEN INJECT THEM INTO YOURSELF, THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION HAS ISSUED A GLOBAL ALERT OVER COUNTERFEIT MEDICATIONS, FAKE DRUGS POSING AS OZEMPIC, WEGOVY AND MOUNJARO ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH PLACES LIKE TIKTOK, FACEBOOK AND ETSY. IF YOU’RE LUCKY, YOU GET RIPPED OFF. THAT’S THE THAT’S THE LEAST PAINFUL PART OF THE CONSEQUENCE. IF YOU’RE BUYING ONE OF THE LOOKALIKE FAKES, THE BIGGER THREAT IS ILLNESS OR EVEN DEATH, SAYS THE HEAD OF THE PARTNERSHIP FOR SAFE MEDICINES.
