Zimbabwe shows interest in Belarus’ healthcare, pharmaceutical industry

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – First Lady of Zimbabwe Auxillia Mnangagwa visited the Belmedpreparaty pharmaceutical company during her visit to Belarus on 7 April, BelTA has learned.

Prior to this, Auxillia Mnangagwa toured the National Medical Center run by the Belarus President Property Management Directorate, as well as the National Research Center Mother and Child, the National Pediatric Rehabilitation Hospital in Ostroshitsky Gorodok, the Alexandrov National Cancer Center and Belarusian State Medical University.

“Our guests have a very busy program, they are set to see all our healthcare facilities: from national research centers boasting top-notch medical technology to rehabilitation facilities that also use the latest in technology,” said Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich. “They are very interested in healthcare products, the healthcare industry and the pharmaceutical industry. Today we have not shown everything that we can show. The exposition that we arranged at the exhibition hall of Belmedpreparaty shows only a part of our capabilities: medicines, medical equipment, medical products, and so on. Today we will flaunt our core competencies, all the achievements that the delegation saw a few days earlier at the national research centers. Most of our medical technologies are based on domestic medicines and medical equipment,” the minister informed.

“We will present our turnkey offers to help build and equip healthcare facilities, new technologies, the services that can be provided by our doctors and nurses,” the minister stressed. He also added that more than 50 countries buy Belarusian medicines, so there is no doubt about their quality and safety.
