Doctor: New medication treats some menopause symptoms

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A new treatment option is available for some symptoms of menopause.

News 8 talked with Dr. Barbara Depree from Holland Hospital Women’s specialty care about the treatment and what it means for women.

She said new research recommends hormonal therapy as a first-line treatment for menopausal women who do not have risk factors.
